Work and safety boats can play a crucial role in maintaining safety on construction sites on or near water.
Construction sites near water pose unique safety challenges due to the added risk of accidents involving water, where a normal trip incident, could become life threatening. Here are some of the things we’ve undertaken to help with various projects:
Monitoring and Patrolling
Work and safety boats can patrol the area around the construction site, keeping an eye out for potential safety hazards, such as floating debris, wildlife, or other boats. We can also monitor the site for any unauthorised access or safety violations.
Emergency Response
Our work and safety boats can respond quickly to emergencies, such as accidents, medical emergencies, or fires on the construction site or in the water. We also assist in the rescue of workers who fall into the water.
Transportation
We can provide a quick and easy way for workers and equipment to access the construction site, where other more usual methods just aren’t feasible or practical.
Construction Work
Work and safety boats can support construction activities that take place in or near the water, such as the installation of piers, bridges, and other marine infrastructure. They provide the workers with a safe method of access to allow them to carry out their work. We assisted Network Rail contractors to assess the rail embankment close to the Severn Estuary.
Mitigate Risks
Safety boats can help to mitigate safety issues identified during risk assessments, and allow for safe and adequate method statements.

Working alongside a special effects company, we enjoyed helping to create some atmospheric conditions for an episode of Sky’s Agatha Raisin, at Easton Castle, Herefordshire.
